Personal Wellness Score

Wellness score results are an important part of any corporate wellness program. To receive a wellness score, employees must first complete our Health Risk Assessment (Health Risk Appraisal) and attend Health Screening (Biometric Testing). Completing these two tasks will provide each and every employee who participates in the corporate wellness program their own unique wellness score.

What does a wellness score mean? The wellness score is the first number that employees see when they login to their personal wellness website. The number is displayed as a number between 1 and 100 (100 being the best) and is the average score for 6 wellness score categories, including: Heart Health, Fitness, Stress, Personal Health & Safety, On-The-Job Health, and Nutrition. Higher wellness scores mean that an individual is less likely to have a health event occur that requires economic expenditure.

Employees can use their personal wellness score to determine which category they should focus on in order to improve their health. For instance, if an individual had a stress score of 54 and a nutrition score of 91, the individual can quickly assess his or her need to improve their stress.

The wellness score can be used in conjunction with other tools such as the Personal Health Manager (PHM) Report. The Personal Health Manager Report is over 20 pages long and contains a plethora of information that is customized for each individual. The report gives suggestions on how to improve in the various areas of personal health and wellbeing, and can be used as a reference when speaking with a nurse or physician.

Each year, employees can work toward improving their wellness scores by measuring and monitoring their blood pressure at a Health Kiosk (Health Station) and wearing a Pedometer (KAM Device or Kinetic Activity Monitor Device). Employees can also view their personal results from their Health Screening (Biometric Testing) page of their personal health website.
